BABBITT’S ONLINE/MONSTER ENERGY®/KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN’S GRANT BAYLOR RACES TO A PODIUM FINISH AT THE OPENING ROUND OF THE AMA GRAND NATIONAL CROSS COUNTRY SERIES

Union, South Carolina. - The opening round of the Grand National Cross Country series got underway this past weekend, where Babbitts Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green members Grant Baylor and Lyndon Snodgrass started their 2024 GNCC campaigns with mixed results, with Baylor landing on the podium and Snodgrass fighting through adversity to salvage points.

The start of the race saw both riders succumb to poor starts, with Baylor getting the worse of the two, going into the woods dead last and coming through on the opening lap in the 14th position. Over the next two and a half hours, Baylor would put on a heroic charge through the pack, passing competitors with every lap of racing before making the pass into the third-place position on the final lap of racing. Snodgrass would struggle to find his form, and he was forced to settle for a 13th-place finish.

“It was a crazy day out there for me; I was dead last off the start, but I picked myself up and just started picking my way through the pack. The pit crew kept telling me that I was faster than anyone ahead of me, so I just kept charging and ended up third. With a better start, I should be up there running with the front runners.” Said Baylor.

The second round of the GNCC series will take place in the sands of Palatka, Florida, on March 3rd, where Baylor will look to build on his podium and Snodgrass will be looking to regain his form.
