BABBITT’S ONLINE/MONSTER ENERGY®/KAWASAKI TEAM GREEN RIDERS BATTLE THROUGH MUD AND ADVERSITY AT THE GENERAL GNCC

Washington, Ga.- The third round of the Grand National Cross Country Series took place at The General over the weekend, where Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy®/Kawasaki Team Green riders Grant Baylor and Lyndon Snodgrass battled through the sticky Georgia mud to claim eighth and 11th, respectively, in the premier XC-1 pro class.

The Georgia GNCC is always known for its treacherous mud bogs, and this year was no exception, with several inches of rain falling on course before the weekend of racing had even begun. At the start of the abbreviated 2-hour race, both team riders would suffer from dismal starts, forcing them to work their way through the field in subpar conditions. At the end of the first lap of racing, Snodgrass would cross the line in the sixth-place position, with Baylor in the 12th-place position. As the race unfolded, both riders would find themselves buried in the Georgia mud, causing both to miss out on continuing their success from the previous rounds. Baylor would pull himself out of the mud to claim eighth on the day, and Snodgrass would take home 11th place in class.

Both riders won't have long to seek redemption, as the fourth round of the GNCC series will take place in two weeks on March 24th at the Camp Coker GNCC in Society Hill, South Carolina, where Grant Baylor took last year's overall win.
