Alcoba Secures Another Top-10 Finish in Assen WorldSSP Race Two

Jeremy Alcoba continued his impressive rookie WorldSSP season with a seventh-place finish in Race Two at the TT Circuit Assen on Sunday, April 13. Riding the Kawasaki Ninja® ZX-6R 636, the Spanish rider added more valuable championship points and maintained his consistent run of top-10 finishes through the first three rounds of the season.

Due to the reverse-grid format based on fastest laps from Race One, Alcoba started Race Two from 12th position—three spots back from his ninth-place grid slot in the opening race. Over the course of the 18-lap contest, he gradually worked his way through the field.

Running in 12th during the early laps, Alcoba made steady progress mid-race, reaching seventh position with five laps remaining. From there, he focused on managing tire degradation and maintaining his position, securing another strong points haul.

With three rounds completed, Alcoba sits seventh in the WorldSSP Championship standings with 49 points—just three points shy of fifth place. His consistent performances have seen him finish inside the top 10 in every race so far this season.

The next round of the championship will take place at the Cremona Circuit in Italy from May 2–4, marking a home event for the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team.

Jeremy Alcoba:
“The race started a bit rough—I didn’t get the best launch—but I managed to recover and felt good early on. I was able to manage the pace until mid-race, but then some of the others pulled away slightly. After that, the rear tire dropped off and it became more difficult. I focused on controlling the group behind me and keeping an eye on the front. I gave it my best, but it wasn’t quite enough today. We’re still struggling a bit in fast corners, so we need to work on that. I’m looking forward to Cremona, though—I think that layout might suit us better.”
